Do the Do

October 26, 2008

You got have the bags, the shoes, the bling and the attire; you’re walking the walk, you’re talking the talk. There’s no way you could not be the cat’s meow when it comes to fashion, right? Wrong.
Even the coolest outfit can bomb if the hair doesn’t go with it. Think Britney Spears’ mousy wig, or Christina Aguilera’s Dirty black extensions, or even Katie Holme’s sorry impersonation of her husband’s do. Not that the guys are always better at mane management. All you have to do is to tune into one of those Indian soaps to know what I’m talking about.
Wear it up, braid it, do a ponytail, keep it messy, go for the wet look or blow dry it. Whatever you do to your hair, the end result has to work. It’s true that no matter how good our attire looks, if the hair isn’t complementing the outfit, you just don’t look complete.
Let’s take a look at some DO’s and DON’Ts for men and women

I completely agree with you. Don’t you think the new blunt cut or bob sported by Rihanna, Posh and Bips just look radical too? Then again, I don’t think it would suit everyone.I would cause disaster to the look hehe. Love the long hair do’s up there.

It’d be interesting to see if you posted some celeb fashion bloopers and discussed why the outfits suck.

Hair… goodness… Half the time I take it for granted until I see someone with a really bad hear-do and I should spend more time on mine. I have been thinking about getting some bangs, my hair stylist won’t do it, he says “we aren’t ready for this yet.” the royal we… so i am contemplating what to do…

idea of putting various hairstyles from virtual makeover sites is good…i’d have liked to see more of fashionistas from our part of the continent… as our hair texture tend to be different from people in europian/american/african region.

well ya….hair..hmmm…first tip i would like to get from here that is how to lose the thickness of my hair….i often see people crying for not having hair…well my request to those people is that i would love to donate some of mine to them….i guess too much thick hair wont let you to make style of your own…and for some obvious reason i am familier to only one hair cut that is the crew-cut…because my military father used to dictate terms for the hair do guy and the guy is programed with only one style….;-)
